Marton accompanied Russia's Dima Bilan, who competed against 24 other contestants with his song Believe Me. Also on stage supporting Bilan was Olympic skater Eugeni Pluscchenko.
Marton boasted that he was the first Hungarian to win at the Eurovision Song Contest.
Bilan - the first Russian to win the contest - took the top prize with a comfortable lead of 272 points. The contest's second-place winner was Ani Lorak from Ukraine (230 points), followed by Kalomira from Greece (218 points).
Csézy, the Hungarian contestant at this year's contest, did not make it to the finals.
