As a result of the renewed agreement, work on the new headquarters of the Hungarian Institute in Warsaw will continue and its relocation will be complete in the autumn, the institute's director Istvan Gordon told MTI after the press conference.
The agreement outlined mutual tasks for Hungary and Poland to undertake regarding its cultural institutions.
The Hungarian Institute in its new central location in Warsaw will be able to offer a richer programme; e.g. from concerts at the Opera House or the screening of Delta, a new film by the young Hungarian film director Kornel Mundruczo, recently shown in Cannes, said Gordon.
During the press conference, Ambassador Kiss presented the Hungarian Republic's Order of Merit, Chevalier Cross, to Roman Gutek, for his work on promoting Hungarian films in Poland.
