The jury of the festival which ended on November 8 expressed great appreciation of the Hungarian film Ergo, produced by Kedd Animation Studio in Pecs, the consulate said. The prize was collected by consul Istvan Molnar at the awards ceremony on Sunday.
Ergo is a "film about music within us. It portrays the encounter between two figures, one of whom is leaving childhood," the festival catalogue said.
Geza M Toth's 2005 animation Maestro was nominated for the Academy Awards in 2007.
