EFP members voted unanimously in Cannes in support of Eva Vezer's appointment, the Hungarian Film Union said in a statement.
Vezer said that "this appointment is an acknowledgement of the Hungarian film profession's promotional efforts abroad." She expressed confidence that "thanks to this presidency, the international position of Hungarian film will be strengthened," the statement said.
The Hungarian Film Union joined EFP in 2001. The organisation has 31 members and is in charge of promotion and marketing of European films worldwide.
