Hungarian Centre in Delhi Celebrates 30 Years

In Kochi, Relatives (Rokonok), directed by István Szabó, opened the local film festival, which also features five more Hungarian films on its programme. Hungarian films will also be screened in Trivandrum, Trichur and Chandigarh in the coming weeks.

 
Three couples from the Hungarian State Folk Dance Ensemble will perform in four Indian cities, and the Romany folk band Parno Graszt will play three concerts. 
 

The writer János Háy

The New Delhi institute will present an exhibition of works by Sándor Bortnyik and Endre Bálint that depict Hungarian scholars and explorers who have travelled to India, and another about World Heritage sites in Hungary.

 
The Hungarian writers László Krasznahorkai and János Háy will be introduced to Indian readers, and a conference on Hungarian and Indian cultural relations will round out the programme.
