Hungarian Director Brings Project to Zagreb

Najmányi will present a document of Halász's "wake" to festival-goers.
 
In February of 2006, Halász, who was terminally ill, invited his friends and colleagues to a staged wake in Budapest's Műcsarnok. He died a month later in New York.

Najmányi's work will be shown alongside productions by troupes from Argentina, China, Croatia, France, Great Britain and the Netherlands at the festival, which starts Saturday and runs until June 28.
 
Najmányi, who was a regular collaborator with Halász, said the actor put his whole being into every performance, never imitating anything.
