A retrospective of Jancsó's films will be shown at the festival, which the director will attend in person.
Parallel with Febiofest, Berlin's popular Brotfabrik cinema will also show a Jancsó film series. Local paper Die Berliner Zeitung recently published a long interview with Jancsó in connection with the screenings.
Jancsó, who is almost 90, recently brought his latest film, So Much For Justice, a historical drama loosely based on Hungary's King Matthias, to the 41st Hungarian Film Week.
