The opera, based on a folk tale, was written by the contemporary Norwegian composer Knut Vaage. Its leads are the Russian bass baritone Alexander Polkovnikov and the Moldavian-born French lyrical soprano Iulia Vacaru.
The opera will be performed in Hungary, at the Szeged National Theatre, for the Armel Opera Competition and Festival finals on November 3-4.
