Hungarian Director Wins Prize In Antalya

?Taxidermia? lead actors Csaba Czene and Gergő Trócsányi, along with producer Gábor Váradi, accepted the award.

The 2nd International Eurasia Film Festival ran parallel with the 43rd Golden Orange Film Festival, Turkey?s most important film event.

Only ten films were invited to compete at the 2nd International Eurasia Film Festival. The jury for the event included important film professionals such as programme director for the Berlinale?s Panorama section Wieland Speck, head of the European Film Market Beki Probst, Iranian director Samira Makhmalbaf and actor Padraic Delaney.

?Taxidermia?, which Le Monde called ?the zaniest film without a doubt? among those competing in this year?s Un Certain Regard at Cannes, is an adaptation of the short stories of Lajos Parti Nagy. The film has won Best Film in Brussels and Best Director at the Transylvanian Film Festival. The film premiered in France to praises from the critics at the end of August.

?Taxidermia? will premiere in Hungary on November 9.

Hungarian director Ágnes Kocsis?s film ?Fresh Air? was also screened at the Turkish film festival.
