The film will be the final one screened in a section showing restored prints of film classics, such as Jaws, Once Upon a Time in America and Hitchcock?s 1927 film The Ring.
The Hungarian film is made up of short cuts from about 500 films.
The film, which Palfi described as ?experimental?, has not yet been commercially released because of copyright issues.
He said the idea for the film was born in 1995, because of a contest called to celebrate the hundredth anniversary of the birth of cinema.
The 37-year-old director received the prize for best newcomer prize for his film Hukkle at the 2002 Hungarian Film Festival. Four years later, his film Taxidermia took the festival?s top prize.
Final Cut ? Ladies and Gentlemen was made with a budget of just 20 million forints.
