Hungarian Film Festival Opens in L.A.

The festival was opened by the Director of Programming and Special Projects at USC School of Cinematic Arts Alessandro Ago.
 
Ago praised the work of Hungarian documentary filmmakers and said the festival offered a good chance for exposure to American audiences.
 
Hungarian Consul General in Los Angeles Balázs Bokor said 30 films were on the festival programme.
 
The festival will pay tribute to Raoul Wallenberg, the Swedish diplomat who rescued tens of thousands of Hungarian Jews during the Holocaust. A number of films connected to Wallenberg and the Holocaust are on the programme to mark the hundredth anniversary of the Swede?s birth.
