The screening of the film, on June 18, will be its international premiere, the Hungarian Film Union said.
Istanbul is a Dutch-Turkish co-production featuring Johanna ter Steege, Andor Lukáts and Yavuz Bingöl.
The film?s screening in Shanghai is supported by European Film Promotion (EFP).
About 300 films will be screened at this year?s Shanghai International Film Festival on June 16-24.
The Hungarian director György Pálfi will be a member of the festival jury.
