Andrea Roberti, who wrote the screenplay for the film, accepted the award in person at a gala ceremony in Ploiesti on Sunday.
The international jury praised the film for its ?celluloid depiction of everyday death, surrounded by an empty and lonely life?.
The festival was organised by the Association for European Cultural Integration and the Ploiesti Municipality with the support from the Romanian National Centre for Cinematography.
