Péter Gárdos received a special acknowledgment from the jury of the 14th Orense International Film Festival in Spain for his feature Prank (Tréfa).
With a Little Patience (Türelem), a short film directed by László Nemes Jeles, took a bronze medal at the Brünn Film Festival in the Czech Republic.
Three Hungarian films were recognised at Comedy Cluj, the first International Comedy Film Festival in the Romanian city of Cluj-Napoca. Judit Schell took the award for best actress for her performance in Just Sex and Nothing Else (Csak szex és más semmi). A Kind of America (Valami Amerika), directed by Gábor Herendi, won the audience award; and Karchi Perlmann's The Dinner (Vacsora) was named best short.
