Tamás Jónás

Sharp Guitars from a Flat Planet quickly found a fan base on the internet, drawing praise from bloggers and ezine writers.

"His fast Satriani-esque legato phrases fuse into fast picking sections reminiscent of John Petrucci and Yngwie Malmsteen but Jonas has much more to offer than speedy playing and flashy tapping," said Guitar Noize.

"Great album, great playing, great music, great Jonas!" wrote Italy's Guitar Chef, and France's Music Waves gave the album 8 out of 10 stars.

Jónás has played guitar for 15 years, but raised his profile after joining the electronic music group ZooHacker Project. Currently, he is a member of the progressive rock band Wind's Exe and the American group OSV, but he is also working hard on a solo career and writes an instructional column on mymusic.hu.

Jónás will release his second solo album, Timeless Hour, in April 2010.
