Mittra is a promising talent from the youngest generation of Indian artists. This is his 13th individual show and his works have also been recognised with numerous awards. The exhibition was opened by the art critic and former cultural state secretary Muthusamy Varadarajan. By presenting a young Indian talent, the Hungarian institute wants to show that its activities form a part of local cultural life and it is not an isolated institution.
The Hungarian Information and Cultural Centre Delhi has prepared a diverse programme to celebrate the 30th anniversary of its founding. It has organised cultural festivals at five locations: in Trivandrum, Kochi, Thrissur, Chandigarh and Delhi. The festival programmes will include Hungarian and Roma folk music concerts, exhibitions, film screenings, literary and theatre performances, book presentations and gastronomy events.
