Called the "Michael Jackson Moonwalking flashmob", the event will start at 7:00pm on July 7 on Heroes Square, where Jackson shot a video in 1994. Participants are asked to start moonwalking at the blow of the whistle and leave the square promptly when the whistle blows again.
Hundreds of thousands of people are expected to come together in Los Angeles on Tuesday to pay their respects to Jackson, who died on June 25 at the age of 50.
