Some three hundred Hungarians living in Israel gathered at the Memorial Museum of Hungarian Speaking Jewry to attend programmes by Hungarian artists and to take part in a reception.

Szentgyorgyi, who took up his post two months ago, said his aim was to lift Hungary-Israel relations to a higher level. Main areas for co-operation include research and development, culture and tourism and investments, he said.
