The local press especially liked Boldog?s production of ?Viktoria and Her Huszar? by the Hungarian composer Pál Ábrahám.
In addition to operettas, this year?s Coburger Sommeroperette, on August 5-21, featured concerts with waltzes, polkas and other popular favourites. Boldog?s wife, a flautist for the Győr Philharmonic Orchestra, was one of the soloists in a performance of Mozart?s Concerto for Flute and Harp in C Major.
Boldog graduated from the Liszt Academy of Music 15 years ago. He was conductor for the Győr National Theatre between 1995 and 2009, when he became guest conductor for the Jókai Theatre of Komárom. This year, he replaced Reinhard Schmidt, who was musical director of the Coburger Sommeroperette since its inception.
