Hungarian Musicians Play in Belgium

The Hungarian tenor Szabolcs Brickner gave a much acclaimed performance on the opening day of the Klara Festival, a showcase of classical, jazz and world music, on August 30.

 
The violinist Barnabás Kelemen will play twice with the Flemish Symphonic Orchestra at the first weekend in September. The first concert will be held at the Concertgebouw in Brugge and the second at De Singel in Antwerp.
 
Muzsikás, which recently won a WOMEX world music award, will entertain audiences in Antwerp this Sunday and in Mechelen on October 24. The group will be joined by Levente Kende, a Hungarian pianist who lives in Antwerp.
 
The jazz guitarist Ferenc Snétberger will play in Gent on September 13, and Parno Graszt will play on the same day at the Flagey in Brussels.
 
The pianist Béla Szakcsi Lakatos will perform three concerts with Miklós Lukács in early October. They will play at Brussels' Hungarian Cultural Institute, as well as in Brugge and St-Truiden.
