Győr will be represented in Ireland by the Bolero Brass Band, Győr Baller, the opera singers Ibolya Verebics and Eszter Balogh, and the organist Gergely Rákász.

The Bolero Brass Band will play a composition by Frigyes Hidas and the Győr Ballet will perform a piece in honour of Ilona Tóth, one of the victims of the 1956 Hungarian Revolution, as well as an excerpt from a choreography entitled Gaudi. Rákász will play works by Handel and Schubert, Balogh will sing centuries-old sacral works and Verebics will perform a collection of classics. The musicians will appear at the Beckett Theatre in Dublin on April 17 and at St Nicholas Church in Galway on the following day.

The Győr delegation, headed by Mayor Zsolt Borkai, is scheduled to meet with Irish President Mary McAleese, Minister for Art, Sports and Tourism Martin Cullen and Minister for Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs Eamon O'Cuiv. They will also visit the Archbishop of Dublin and Primate of Ireland.
