Hammerstein expressed her appreciation to be participating at the event and praised the work of the foundation. She also recalled a half century of Hungarian-Finnish cooperation.
Finnagora was established in 2002 with the support of the Finnish government. It operates Finnish cultural, scientific and business instiutes in 17 cities around the world. It opened a centre in Budapest in 2004.
The Hungarian Cultural and Scientific Centre in Helsinki celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2010.
