The exhibition, entitled Landscapes Speak the Same Language, was organised with the participation of the Mai Manó House of Hungarian Photographers.
Curator Gabriella Csizek said that Ember?s photos represent an image diary for a group of friends, Fátyol?s work presents the everyday lives and relations of her real-life family, Kudász?s photos show lost natural spaces and landscapes on which people have left their mark, and Szalontai?s images demonstrate a classic approach of meditative and silent observation of the landscape.
The exhibition of Hungarian artists is part of a large-scale series entitled Summer of Photography 2012 which involves different shows in dozens of galleries in cities throughout Belgium.
The BOZAR centre will host an exhibition called Sense of Place which presents landscapes from different regions of Europe and it also includes works by Kudász.
?The individual pictures offer apparently neutral descriptions but together create a series that portrays the degradation of a rural landscape that has been appropriated for a range of purposes,? the exhibition catalogue said of Kudász?s photos.
