Hungarian Play on Wiener Festwochen Programme

The Hungarian National Theatre will perform the piece for audiences in Vienna.

 
Mundruczó brought another piece, The Frankenstein Plan, co-written with Yvette Bíró, to last year?s Wiener Festwochen.
 
Other plays on this year?s Wiener Festwochen programme are Canadian director Robert Lepage?s modern epic Lipsynch, which connects characters through language and speech, and Nobel Prize winner Elfriede Jelinek?s Rechnitz, which recalls the massacre of 180 Jewish-Hungarian forced labourers by Nazi leaders being entertained by Countess Margit Batthyány in the fortress of Rechnitz in Austria in March 1945.
 
Alban Berg will be at the centre of the Wiener Festwochen?s music programme on the 125th anniversary of the composer?s birth and the75 the anniversary of his death.
