The coffin of the poet - who was also a bishop of Pecs - was placed in front of the altar to allow people to pay tribute to one of the earliest authors of outstanding written Hungarian literature.
Speaker of Parliament Katalin Szili and Culture Minister Istvan Hiller are scheduled to attend the ceremony.
