The LA-based Harmonia Players played renaissance music; the Kárpátia Dance Ensemble, a nearly 50-year-old dance troupe based in California, performed renaissance dances; and other local artists recited works of renaissance literature.
Szeged-based painter Tünde Hegedűs's renaissance-inspired paintings served as the ideal backdrop for the event, said Hungarian Consul Balázs Bokor. Hegedűs's exhibition is touring several West Coast states.
