The prize came with a purse of EUR 10,000.
The same screenplay is also among 15 being promoted in Cannes as part of Atelier, a programme developed by the festival's foundation Cinéfondation that introduces new talent to festival goers.
About 60pc of the projects that are selected for the Atelier programme are eventually made into films.
Among Fliegauf's critically acclaimed films are Milky Way (2007), Dealer (2004) and Forest (2003).
