The performances were part of Hungarian Culture also on the West Coast, a programme organised by the Hungarian Consulate in Los Angeles.
Polish tenor Arnold Rutkowski, a prize winner at Plácido Domingo's Operalia contest this year, sang Don Jose. The conductor was Enrique Bátiz Campbell from Mexico.
Vizin sang Carmen in a production directed by Domingo at the Los Angeles Opera last autumn.
