Hungarian State Folk Ensemble

Indians in the city, which is the capital of the state of Kerala, gave the ensemble a standing ovation at the concert on Wednesday. The guest of honour at the performance was the state's forestry minister Binoy Biswam, who spent several years in Hungary.

 
The Hungarian State Folk Ensemble will travel to Thrissur, Chandigarh and New Delhi from Thiruvananthapuram.
 
Hungary's leading group of folk musicians and dancers are touring India with the support of the Ministry of Education and Culture, the Hungarian Information and Cultural Centre of Delhi and the Indian Council for Cultural Relations. Performances in two of the four cities on the tour are taking place as part of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the founding of the Hungarian Information and Cultural Centre Delhi.
