Boronkay told MTI that the competition involved creating a design for an apartment on 45 square metres, to be used by a young, successful male professional. She said her winning design includes a yellow plexiglass sliding panel that can separate the living room from the bedroom and a yellow stripe running along the floor.

The evaluation committee said Boronkay's design stood out from the list of 6 finalists as fresh, classy and inventive.

Her winning design will be on display at the four-day 100% Design Exhibition in London's Earls Court in September, where 30,000 visitors are expected. In addition, she will get a week-long internship opportunity in the prestigious Johnson Naylor Architect studio.

Boronkay also works as a successful model for world-renowned fashion houses including Dior, Christian Lacroix and Issey Miyake.
