Szederkényi, of the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design, took the prize for her short Orsolya, about a girl who lives her life standing on her hands.
"The Jury was impressed by the strong narrative and great design of the film. It was an interesting depiction of an 'outsider' character finding a solution to her unusual predicament - told with a poetic style and sense of humour," the festival organiers said.
Some 200 films were shown at this year's anima, which took place on February 12-20.
