Balogh, who beat Akira Ishiguro (United States) and Rotem Sivan (Israel) in the finals, won a Gibson guitar, a recording session at Balik Farm Studios and an invitation to perform at next year's Montreux Jazz Festival.
Balogh's brother, Zoltán Balogh, is competing in the semi-finals of the festival's Solo Piano Competition, against the Hungarian Péter Pintér.
The 43rd Montreux Jazz Festival boasts some 90 concerts by the likes of Herbie Hancock and Lang Lang, Prince, Grace Jones, Lily Allen and Marianne Faithfull.
