The 4th Martial Solal Piano-Jazz Competition, organised by the Office of the Mayor of Paris, was held on September 22?October 1. More than fifty pianists competed at the event, with the best six performing for the finals at Radio France?s concert hall.
The jury for the contest was chaired by Martial Solal and included Hungary?s Emil Spányi.
Szabo,31, has been studying in Budapest and at the Boston Conservatory for the past three years. Botos, 28, was born in Hungary, but has been a resident of Toronto since he was 20. Both young men have already received several awards for their talents.
