At Hiller's invitation, Slovakia's Minister of Culture Marek Madaric, Czech Deputy-Minister of Culture Petra Smolikova and Poland's Cultural Undersecretary Krzysztof Olendzki will attend the meeting, Ministry of Education and Culture press chief Erika Gulyás announced on Wednesday.
The meeting will focus on ways of developing a continuous and dynamic cultural dialogue between the Visegrad countries and other European Union members.
Presentations will be held on the national programmes of the four countries as well as their efforts to promote the EU initiative "2008, European Year of Intercultural Dialogue".
The participants will discuss ways to make cultural development the basis of city and regional development programmes, with a special focus on helping individual regions achieve a kind of "tipping point". On the initiative of Hungary's Ministry of Education and Culture, a city development and research programme has started in Hungary to prepare these projects.
An eight-member jazz band comprising of some of the most talented young musicians from the Visegrad countries will play a concert on Thursday evening, and the Uránia Cinema will host an exhibition by artists from the participating countries.
The meeting of culture ministers will conclude with the signing of a joint declaration at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences on Friday afternoon.
