Hungary Marks Day of Humanity on Wallenberg Anniversary

Hungary will honour the ?determination of those who unselfishly saved the lives of others, often by taking great personal risks? at a ceremony in Budapest?s Holocaust Memorial Centre.
 
A newly established annual Award of the Society of Just People will be presented Hungarian rescuers at the commemoration.
 
Acting director of the Holocaust Memorial Centre Szabolcs Szita will open the ceremony and Human Resources Minister Zoltán Balog will give a speech.
 
The Swedish diplomat Wallenberg, born on August 4, 1912, saved thousands of lives during the Holocaust. Hungary is marking the Wallenberg Memorial Year on the hundredth anniversary of his birth.
