In his address at the ceremony, Tadic highlighted the strong cultural links between Serbs and Hungarians.
Laszlo Solyom said that Hungary's ethnic minorities were entitled to collective rights and added that he supported that ethnic communities should be represented in Parliament.
Ethnic Serb leader Alexov Lubomir said that his community had spent 120 million forints (EUR 447,000) on the new centre, including a 20 million forint grant from Hungary's central budget.
