The Budapest New Year?s Eve 2006 Celebrations will feature performances at Vörösmarty Square, the Oktogon and Nyugati Square on Saturday and Sunday, the last two days of 2006.
Jazz will be the order of the day at Vörösmarty Square on December 30, with Ági Szalóki taking the stage, followed by the Budapest Jazz Orchestra. On New Year?s Eve, the square will provide the venue for a line up of world music acts.
Also on New Year?s Eve, the Oktogon will be transformed into a huge outdoor Top of the Pops, with performances by Hungary?s favourite pop bands and singers. The party will continue after midnight with a disco hosted by popular live DJs.
Nyugati Square will be the venue for two rock?n?roll concerts on December 30.
