I have been living in fairy tales since I was a child. I draw fairy tales, and I occasionally write some. Tales are my never ending love.

I do believe with true persuasion that a good book keeps you company all through your life; my life and my way of thinking was determined by what I read in my childhood ? and by the illustrations that came with the stories.

That is why I feel extreme responsibility to only release work that I would give to my own child without hesitation.

I mainly do story book illustration, but I have also been involved in film animation, puppet and scenery design.

In 1979 I won Cordon Bleu of the Dixieme Muse / Decima Musa animated cartoon festival.
In 1986 my illustration won third prize on "Turkey in my Mind" contest in Ankara, Turkey.
In 1994 I received Storybook of the year ? Albert Csillag award.
In 1995 I was rewarded by Soros and Más-Kép Foundations with "The Book of the Year" award.

In 1993 my illustrations of books Manógyár (The Goblin Factory) of Ervin Lázár and Aranyecset (Golden Paintbrush) of Ágnes Nemes Nagy were remunerated by the International Board of Books for Young People with the IBBY award.
