Oz will accept the award on the opening day of the festival. His latest book, Rhyming Life and Death, will be published in Hungarian by Európa Kiadó to coincide with the author's visit.
The four-day festival will include about 300 cultural and professional events. For the first time, used books will also be on offer.
The European Newcomers' Festival - a meeting of the most talented young prose writers in Europe - will be organised for the 10th time as part of this year's book fair.
Hungarian books were put in the spotlight at the Jerusalem International Book Fair last year, on the 20th anniversary of the resumption of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
