A work from the exhibition

Keserü's art has been exhibited in many big cities around the world, including New York and Berlin, but the solo exhibition at the Hungarian Cultural Centre will be the first in London.

Keserü's art is non-referential, atmospheric and purely abstract. However, the works subtly reflect the artist's personal interests in science and how we physically experience music, the Hungarian Cultural Centre London says on its home page. (Keserü, a Bach enthusiast, often listens to music as he works.) Another inspiration is philosophy and religion, transgressing Western and Eastern ideas.

The curator and art writer Chris Townsend writes in his book New Art From London that Keserü paints with almost manically refined detail.

The exhibition, which runs until March 12, will be shown at the same time as another show of Keserü's works in London's Patrick Heide Gallery.
