The conference, called ?Theatre Structures, Theatre Financing in Europe and Hungary ? Escape Route From the Economic and Social Crisis?, will open with remarks by Katona József Theatre managing director Gábor Máté.
Speakers in the morning include Iphigenia Taxopoulou, head of the Mitos21 theatre network; Vladimir Procházka, director of the Cinoherni klub in the Czech Republic; Piotr Cieslak, chairman of the Union of Theatre Schools and Academies; and József Csóti, business director at the Comedy Theatre of Budapest.
After a break, deputy-mayor of Budapest Miklós Csomós will speak, followed by managing director of the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus Manfred Weber, managing director of the Theatre National de La Colline Patricia Michel, retired ministerial advisor on theatre affairs in Germany Wolfgang Hoffmann and chairman of Hungary?s National Culture Fund László L. Simon.
A roundtable talk will take place in the afternoon.
Presentations will be in English or German with simultaneous interpretation into Hungarian.
