Katona József Theatre to Perform at Finnish Theatre Festival

The 37th Tampere Theatre Festival will feature the year?s best theatre productions from Finland, as well as a number of performances by renowned foreign guests.

The Hungarian Cultural and Academic Centre of Helsinki organised a visit by one of the festival?s artistic directors to Budapest last November, when the Finn selected the play, directed by Viktor Bodó, to participate at the festival.

The festival?s organisers have also invited several young Hungarian theatre professionals to Tampere to participate at a lecture on Hungarian theatre on August 12.

The Hungarian Cultural and Academic Centre of Helsinki is supporting the performances of the Katona József Theatre in Tampere with financial and in-kind contributions.
