Kecskemét Theatre Hosts Festival

Students from Hungary as well as members of Hungarian minorities in neighbouring countries will participate at the festival, said theatre director Tamás Réczei. He said they would come from schools in Budapest and Kaposvár, in Hungary, as well as from Novi Sad, in Serbia, and the Romanian cities of Cluj and Targu Mures.
 
Students of Budapest?s Theatre and Film Academy will perform EuripidesION and A Little Marivo at the festival.
 
Students from Kaposvár will bring productions of Twelve Angry Men and Scrappy Orpheum.
 
The students from Novi Sad will perform Péter Bornemissza?s Hungarian Electra.
 
A production of Blood Wedding will come from Babes-Bolyai University in Cluj, and students from Targu Mures will present Béla Pintér?s Beggar?s Opera.
 
The festival takes place within the framework of the Kecskemét Spring Festival and is supported by the National Culture Fund, the Ministry of National Resources and the city of Kecskemét.
