Kelemen-Kokas Violinist Duo Perform in London

English

Katalin Kokas and Barnabás Kelemen

Kelemen and Kokas performed as part of the Cultural Centre's Monday Music Soirees series. They were joined by special guest Veronika Tóth on viola. Tóth, a pupil of Péter Lissauer at the Scottish Royal Music Academy, performed to much acclaim at the Hungarian Cultural Centre London in April.

On the programme on Thursday were Bartók's Sonata for Solo Violin, Kodály's Serenade for Two Violins and Viola, Bach's Partita in d-minor for Solo Violin and Prokofiev's Sonata for Two Violins.

From London, the musicians travelled to Scotland to perform at the Scottish Music Academy as part of the H'Art festival programme. Kelemen and Kokas started teaching a master class at the academy following the concert.
