The quartet was joined by two musicians from the Aviv Quartet, Zori Nitai and Zori Hillel, to play a piece by Tchaikovsky in the second half of the concert.
The Keller Quartet, whose members have studied with György Kurtág, Ferenc Rados and Sándor Devich, regularly play concerts of classical as well as contemporary music all over Europe.
The concert in Jerusalem was organised to mark the 20th anniversary of the re-establishment of diplomatic relations between Israel and Hungary. It was supported by the Hungarian Ministry of Education and Culture, the Balassi Institute and the Hungarian Foreign Ministry.
