Kerekes Band will be among about 50 acts to play on the world music stage, performing on August 26.
Zsombor Fehér, one of Kerekes Band?s founders, said the band had never played before in Croatia. Kerekes Band will play mostly material from their latest album, ?What the Folk??, released in April, but there will also be numbers off of ?Prima? and ?Fel a kalappal?, published earlier, he added.
Kerekes Bank is comprised of flautist and vocalist Zsombor Fehér, percussionist Viktor Fehér, Ákos Csarnó on folk viola, Csaba Námor on lute and electric lute, and Csaba Kónya on bass guitar.
Spancirfest runs from August 19 to 28. Last year, the festival drew more than 200,000 people.
