The orchestra?s musicians will perform in Italy and Croatia after making concert stops in the Hungarian cities of Kecskemét, Debrecen and Budapest, said University of Debrecen Music Faculty deacon Mihály Duffek. Last year, the orchestra impressed audiences in Paris, he added.
Eighteen professors are leading this year?s Young Musicians? Summer Academy, the twelfth. Two conductors and six accompanying pianists will also participate.
Among the summer academy?s leaders are Sándor Nagy, a guest professor at the Musashino Academy in Tokyo, who will teach viola. The Spanish percussionist Carillo Ferrandiz Lorenzo will join the academy for the first. The Hungarian Tamás Dávida, will also return home from Spain, where he teaches trombone at the Aragon Music Academy College.
Last year, students from 13 countries participated at the summer academy in Debrecen.
