This year?s FRESH features 26 artists, including alumni of the Hungarian University of Fine Arts, the Faculty of Arts of the University of Pécs, the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design, and the Zürcher Hochschule der Künste.
Kogart slected the pieces in the show based on ?empathy and manipulation? with the aim of exploring ?the complex relations of providing assistance vs. exerting pressure, of understanding vs. making a conquest of the other?.
?The exhibitors are artists who consciously reflect on the conditions of contemporary society, and who freely combine...different genres...to make critical works of a conceptual flavour that warn of, or use the very means of, manipulation,? Kogart said.
FRESH can be seen from August 25 until October 14.
