The jury called the pieces "courageous" and "pioneering" in their assessment.

The award for best female performer went to Angéla Badacsonyi for her role in I Don't Want To Be a Witch Any More.
The award for best male performer went to the puppeteer János Pályi for Clock Game.
The ASSITEJ Hungarian Centre board, one of the biennale organisers, awarded a special plaque to the HOpp Art Company for More To Come... for its new approach to story-telling.
Twenty Hungarian productions and eight foreign productions competed at the biennale.
