?Since forming in the late 90?s, Kosheen have proved that success doesn?t have to come on someone else?s terms,? the band says on their website. ?Fusing the plaintive, potent vocals of singer Sian Evans with the darkly intimate electronica of Darren Decoder and Markee Substance, Kosheen create songs where the sounds tell the story as much as the lyrics while the boundaries of genres are blurred and challenged.?
Next year?s SZIN kicks off on five stages on August 22. The festival?s ?wine garden? will be the space for instrumental, a capella and folk acts, as well as for theatre performances.
SZIN will try to further reduce the volume of its paper-based programme materials, replacing info-points with touch-screen monitors and making available information through mobile communications devices.
Gajdán said SZIN?s organisers are seeking funding to expand the festival venue to accommodate even bigger events.
